A little thanks to those who've made South Cumberland County communities better.
The Deep Sea Explorers Team of John Griffin Middle School has received top honors by the North Carolina Middle School Association and was scheduled to be honored at the North Carolina Middle School Conference in Greensboro this week.
Being selected as North Carolina Middle School Association's Region 4 Team of the Year is not a first for the Deep Sea Team. The team also received the honor in 2008. Again, the team has demonstrated outstanding performance in many areas. The team was selected from among all nominations submitted throughout the region.
