Christ Episcopal Church

We welcome you and your family to worship with us each Sunday at Christ Episcopal Church in Hope Mills. If you have questions concerning the Bible, jot them down and submit them this Sunday at church and you will receive an answer the following Sunday. Our service begins at 11 a.m.

First United Baptist Church

First United Baptist Church, located at 2002 Chickenfoot Road in Hope Mills, has Sunday services at 10 a.m., worship service at 11 and Wednesday night Bible study at 7.

Good Shepherd Catholic Church

Weekend celebrations are Saturdays at 5:30 p.m. and Sundays at 8:30 and 11:30 a.m.

The Sacrament of Reconciliation is held on Saturdays from 4:30 to 5 p.m. and Wednesdays from 5:30 to 6 p.m.

Daily Mass is held at noon on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Wednesday Holy Hour will be held at 6:15 p.m. and Mass at 7 p.m.

The Holy Stitchers will be held Thursday at 9 a.m. in the RCIA Room. Pre-School Moms will meet at 10 a.m. in the nursery. Altar server training will be held at 6 p.m. in the church. At 7 p.m., choir practice will be held in the church and the Parish Council will meet in the music room.

On Friday, the Deacon's Den will open at 3 p.m. A meditative Stations of the Cross will be held in the church at 7 p.m. with a Lenten supper to follow in the Social Hall.

On Saturday, the Knights of Columbus will hold a third degree meeting in the church at 10 a.m.

On Sunday at 9:45 a.m., kindergarten through fifth-grade classes will meet in the classrooms. The second session of baptismal preparation will be held in Room 4. An Adult/RCIA/Cathecist Formation, "Grace," by Father Gaul will be held in the RCIA Room.

The RCIA will have the second scrutiny and dismissal at the 11:30 Mass.

Father Bumann Fourth Degree will meet at 3 p.m. in the RCIA Room. The sixth- through 12th-grade classes will hold a multicultural large group in the Social Hall beginning at 6 p.m.

Monday, the preschool mothers will have a baby signing class in the nursery at 10 a.m.

Wandering Wednesdays will take place March 17 in Room 4 at 10 a.m. The Parish Lenten Penance Service will be held at 7 p.m.

Highland Baptist Church

Sunday is the day we "spring forward.'' Don't forget to move your clocks forward one hour on Saturday night.

Quilters on Missions will meet at 10 a.m. on Monday. If you enjoy fellowship and fulfillment, this is for you.

Join us on March 17 at 6:30 p.m. for Family Night. Bring a covered dish meal and enjoy an evening of food and fellowship.

On March 19, we will feed the homeless for the "In Jesus Name" ministry.

This year's Vacation Bible School theme is "Saddle Ridge Ranch." Mark your calendars and plan to saddle up for ridin' the range June 13-17 and June 20.

Hope Mills United Methodist

Worship services are at 8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m., with children's church during the 11 o'clock service. Sunday School starts at 9:45 a.m. Childcare is provided for children up to age 3.

Today we are having Bible study at 10 a.m., led by Dr. Dennis Sheppard on the book of Isaiah, fellowship dinner at 6 p.m., children's activities and handbell practice at 6:30 p.m.; and chancel choir practice at 7 p.m.

On Thursday, join us at 7 p.m. for Bible study led by Dr. Sheppard on the book of Isaiah. Square dancing is also at 7 p.m.

The youth are raising funds to pack boxes for Haiti. They will be in a Lock In-Break Out at Methodist University on Friday at 7 p.m. to Saturday at 7 a.m. During that time, they will pack the boxes for shipment to Haiti. There will be a Vacation Bible School planning meeting on Sunday in the old fellowship hall at 12:30 p.m.

Battle Cry 2010 for the youth and an Easter party and egg hunt will take place on March 28 at 12:30 p.m. A revival is scheduled for March 21- 23 at 7 p.m., with guest speaker Tommy Sweeley from Southern Pines United Methodist Church.

Southview Baptist Church

Southview Baptist Church, located at 4089 Elk Road, will have an Easter egg hunt March 28 after the 11 o'clock worship service. The event is for toddlers through fifth graders. Hot dogs will be served.

Easter Sunday services are scheduled for 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. on April 4.
