Baptist Union Missionary

Baptist Union Missionary Baptist Church, 1483 Sand Hill Road in Hope Mills, is having the following events:

Super Bowl Fellowship, Sunday at 5 p.m. Join us for food, fun and fellowship.

Black History Program, Feb. 21 at 3:30 p.m. The guest speaker will be Marshall Pitts Jr., former mayor of Fayetteville. Everyone is invited to attend.

First United Baptist Church

First United Baptist Church presents Carla & Redemption on Feb. 13 at 7 p.m. The church is located at 2002 Chickenfoot Road in Hope Mills.

Good Shepherd Catholic church

Weekend celebrations are Saturdays at 5:30 p.m. and Sundays at 8:30 and 11:30 a.m. The Sacrament of Reconciliation is held on Saturdays from 4:30 to 5 p.m. and Wednesdays from 5:30 to 6 p.m.

Daily Mass is held at noon on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Wednesday Holy Hour will be held at 6:15 p.m. and Mass at 7 p.m.

On Thursday, the Holy Stitchers will be held at 9 a.m. in the RCIA Room. The Catholic Mothers of preschoolers will be held at 10 a.m. in the nursery. Choir practice will be held at 7 p.m. in the church. The Knights of Columbus will hold a meeting at 7:30 p.m. in the RCIA Room.

The Deacon's Den will open at 3 p.m. The 50 plus Club will meet at 10:30 a.m. in the Social Hall. The middle school youth will have Challenge off-site. The high school youth will attend SEARCH off-site.

The high school youth will hold a Hunger Awareness for Youth Project following all Saturday Masses. The Knights of Columbus will hold a membership drive following all Masses.

On Sunday, the RCIA will have dismissal at the 8:30 Mass. At 9:45 a.m., RCIA Catechesis will be held in the RCIA room. Kindergarten through fifth-grade classes will be held in the classrooms. RCIA Inquiry will have its fourth session in Room 3. Practice for the high school youth Mass will be held in the church. No middle school or high school classes will be held.

Monday at 7 p.m., the young adult Bible study will be held in Room 4. The third session for "The Creed" will be held in the Music Room.

Wandering Wednesdays will be held in Room 4 at 10 a.m. Feb. 10.

Green Springs Baptist Church

The student ministry at Green Springs Baptist Church in Parkton will host a free Super Bowl party on Sunday. Invite your friends and join the fun. There will be food, games and much more.

The church is located at 1095 E. Green Springs Road in Parkton.

Highland Baptist Church

We will observe the Lord's Supper on Sunday during the 11 a.m. worship service.

On Monday, the New South River Baptist Association will host a "How To" Evangelism Conference at 7 p.m.

On Tuesday at 6:30 p.m., the Baptist Men will hold their monthly meeting in the church fellowship hall.

Our LIP Service (Ladies in Prayer) meets every Sunday at 9:30 a.m. in the parlor and the Men's Morning Group meets every Thursday morning at 6 a.m.

Hope Mills First Baptist Church

Hope Mills First Baptist Church, located at 4621 Cameron Road in Hope Mills, is a host site for Angel Food Ministries. This program is open to everyone, regardless of income level, offering food packages at discounted prices. EBT is accepted.

The deadline to order February food packages is Feb 15. Pickup day is Feb. 20 from 9 to 11 a.m.

Contact the church office at 425-0912 for more information or a menu of available food packages. The office is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Hope Mills United Methodist

Worship services are at 8:30 and 11 a.m. with children's church during the 11 o'clock service. Sunday school starts at 9:45 a.m. Childcare for children up to age 3 is provided for all services.

On Wednesday night, join us at 6 p.m. for supper, with hand bell practice and children's activities at 6:30. Chancel choir practice is at 7.

The United Methodist Women First Faith and Friend Circles meet on Feb. 12 at 7 p.m., with an executive board meeting at 6:30. The United Methodist Women are also collecting health kits during February and March. See the church bulletin for items to provide. They will also be providing a soup and sandwich luncheon on Feb. 21, with donations to be used for a special project.

Square dancing will be on Feb. 11, with instructor Reggie Kniphfer in the Family Life Center.

The youth are sponsoring Kiss-O-Grams to be delivered on Feb. 14. Contact one of the youth or see the information in the narthex at the church. On Feb. 21, there will be a youth and children's planning meeting. Parents, teens and volunteers are asked to attend to plan for youth activities for spring and summer.

On Feb. 28, the junior high group is sponsoring a pizza, salad, dessert and drink luncheon after church in the Family Life Center. Plan to bring items to be donated to Alms House for their food closet.

Bible study is being held each Wednesday at 10 a.m. and Thursday at 7 p.m., led by Dr. Dennis Sheppard. The Book of Isaiah is being studied.
