Decorations were just right
The Christmas decorations of last year were very good, not overdone, not underdone.
Our Hope Mills folks hit a good balance, the decorations were pleasant to look at and helped boost our holiday.
The Appearance Committee, the town employees and the Chamber of Commerce all contributed time, planning and efforts.
Everyone planned well and it was a notable effort to help us enjoy the holiday. Those big wreaths in the very old buildings looked mighty good.
They made the best of what was available.
We are grateful.
Even the old railroad overpass had wreaths on it.
Edith Jones Brafford donated the foot bridge garland. Her dad was mayor and commissioner a long time ago.
